The lines between truth and fiction
Worn thin
I am myself completely
Reflecting a calm in this chaotic life.
Who I am is not who I once was
I'm reinventing myself
No longer a coherent claim to life.
And here again
Falling apart
Building myself back together
And breaking to pieces.
Why bother with screws?
I'm fine with white glue and thumb tacs
At least my brain will stay put for now
Before slowly wearing away.
You're jealous and angry
Resentful and pained
What have I ever done to you?

I remember
I decapitated your once perfect world
You're falling to your knees.
